“You soften it with showers, and bless its growth”

Arguably this verse is about the earth and the season of growth – but metaphorically speaking I feel this verse could be speaking of His loving Word (water) softening and leveling your heart. And blessing it with growth.

The more you read His Word, certainly the more you grow and gain wisdom. Your heart is softer for others, your sharpness and hardness of heart becomes soothed by the loving Word of God.
